Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA)

The Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA) is a privacy law that went into effect on January 1, 2023 to protect the privacy of residents of Virginia by providing them with privacy rights, requiring certain websites to have a Privacy Policy that makes specific disclosures, and imposing heavy penalties for failure to comply.
