Termageddon Pricing Changes
TL;DR: Starting July 1, 2023, normal retail pricing is increasing by 20% for new and existing subscriptions, and reseller pricing on new orders is increasing by 10%. A checklist is provided below with pre-written templates to ensure you can communicate this change to your clients and prospects. This change will help partners make more recurring commissions and/or revenue on a per client basis. We just released our most aggressive reseller bulk deal, the 15pack, to all agency partners’ accounts which will be available until July 1st (and the price won’t change until 2025). We have an FAQ area at the bottom of this email.
Summary of changes
If you are using the affiliate program:
- Starting July 1, 2023, regular retail pricing ($10/mo or $99/yr per license) for both new and existing subscriptions will change to $12/mo or $119/yr per license.
- We will notify direct/retail paying customers on April 10th about these changes..
If you are using the reseller program:
- Starting July 1, 2023, wholesale rates for new purchases change from $4/mo to $4.40/mo and $38.42/yr to $42.24/yr. New bulk orders will also increase by 10%.
- Existing reseller subscription pricing for both individual and bulk subscriptions will not increase 10% until after July 1, 2024 next year.
- For example, if you bought an annual bulk deal on November 30th, you will not see the price increase until November 30, 2024. If you bought a monthly reseller subscription on the 15th, the price will not change until July 15, 2024. If you buy an annual license or bulk deal today (May 1), the price will not change until May 1, 2025.

1. Why the pricing change? What additional value are you providing?
This is certainly not a fun part of running a business, but we haven’t changed our pricing since our inception in 2016, and with the price increases we are experiencing ourselves with the tools/services we use, we decided it was time to make this change.
We are seeing more privacy laws being passed and more bills being proposed than ever before. We will continue to monitor all of these changes and report to you whenever new disclosures are being made to your policies.
Over the coming months, you will also see some major revisions to the Termageddon application based on the countless calls we’ve had with partners and their clients. From new consent layout designs to a much easier policy generation and updating experience, these changes are intended to not only improve the look and feel of the generated policies/consent tools but to also help customers make easier updates and help partners expedite the setup when reselling/referring Termageddon to clients. Of course, these updates will be made while retaining the comprehensiveness our customers expect by default.
2. I already bought Termageddon license(s) for clients. How is my pricing changing?
If you’ve already purchased licenses in your agency account, you will not see a price change until after July 1st, 2024. After July 1st, 2024, the price will increase by 10% for bulk and individual plans.
So for example:
- If your reseller subscription renews on July 15th each year, that means you will not be charged the new price until July 15th, 2024.
- If you bought an annual bulk deal on January 5th, you will not see the price change until January 5, 2025.
- If you bought a monthly subscription and let’s say it renews on the 5th, you will not see this price change until July 5, 2025.

3. Will l make more recurring profit as a partner?
Yes, because reseller rates are increasing 10% and wholesale prices are increasing 20%, agency partners who resell will be making more recurring profit from this change.
And as an affiliate partner, your commission percentage remains the same, but renewals will be increased, meaning your commissions will be larger.
4. Are all bulk purchases increasing?
Yes, all bulk purchases are increasing by 10%. If your are paying $299/year for a 10pack, for example, the price will increase to $328.90/yr. You will not see this change until your next renewal that occurs after July 1, 2024.
5. I include Termageddon in my maintenance plans and do not charge an additional fee for this service. What should I do?
Pricing will increase $4.80/year at most per license, and you will not see this increase until after July 1, 2024. If you purchased an annual or bulk plan, the total cost increase per license is less.
You have two options:
- Inform clients about the price increase, passing off more value to the customer.
- Adjust your maintenance plan pricing. Because your price does not increase until after July 1, 2025 for existing purchases, you can choose to raise your pricing for maintenance plans over the next ~2ish years to address this change (and any other related price changes associated with your maintenance plans).
6. I use the affiliate program for my clients, how am I impacted?
You will receive larger recurring commission payments from Termageddon because of this price change, for both new and existing customers you’ve sent our way. We will notify clients directly about this price change.
7. When will direct customers be notified of this change?
We will notify direct paying customers on April 10th, 2024 about the pricing change.
8. I am a reseller and I shared a license with a client; will they be notified of this pricing change?
Only customers that have paid Termageddon directly will be notified of the pricing change.

11. Can I upgrade my monthly plan to annual before renewal?
